pathway'Help us to deliver greener products' is the message from our Designing Out Waste business consortium to government policy-makers. The ten leading business members of the consortium represent different points along the supply chain. TamsinWe are delighted to welcome Tamsin Cooper to Green Alliance. She takes up the post of deputy director in September. She comes from the Institute for European Environmental Policy and has worked previously at the Centre for Environmental Policy at Imperial College. EdwardWe also welcome Edward Robinson, who joins us in August in the new role of media and communications manager. Edward moves to Green Alliance from public affairs agency Bell Pottinger, and has experience working in public affairs, media relations and journalism.

Big green society?

Whether the 'Big Society' idea can deliver a big green society will be the subject of some of our Party Conference events this autumn.  Speakers will include Chris Huhne, secretary of state for energy and climate change; Greg Barker, minister of state for energy and climate change; Tony Hawkhead, chief Executive, Groundwork; Paul Kelly, external affairs and corporate responsibility director, ASDA; Matthew Spencer, director, Green Alliance and Tom Burke, trustee Green Alliance.
